Wipro Introduces ai360 Service, Will Spend $1 Billion On AI Over The Following Three Years

IT Major IT company Wipro has announced the launch of the ai360 service and pledged to spend around $1 billion on AI over the following three years. With the use of generative AI, Wipro hopes to usher in a new era of “productivity and business opportunities.”

“Artificial Intelligence is a fast-moving field; especially with the emergence of generative AI, we expect a fundamental shift up ahead for all industries. New business models, new ways of working, and new challenges, too. This is exactly why Wipro’s ai360 service ecosystem places responsible AI operations at the heart of all our AI work.

It’s meant to empower our talent pool and be ubiquitous across all our operations and processes, as well as our solutions for clients.

We are ready for the AI-driven future!”, Wipro CEO and Managing Director Thierry Delaporte said while discussing the development.

The technology services firm stated that ai360 service is an AI-first ecosystem that would expand upon the firm’s ten-year commitment to artificial intelligence in order to incorporate AI into every tool and solution utilized internally and provided to clients.

Wipro stated that the $1 billion investment will help the business develop its AI, data, and analytics capabilities as well as create new consulting skills to assist clients in using AI to its maximum potential. The business will create a GenAI seed Accelerator program to teach startups with a focus on generative AI so they are “enterprise ready.”

Additionally, Wipro has stated that over the course of the following year, it will teach about 2,50,000 of its workers the principles and appropriate application of AI. The business would also provide workers in jobs centered on AI with personalized and ongoing training.

The news from Wipro comes a week after Tata Consultancy Services, the largest provider of software services in India, revealed plans to educate 25,000 engineers in generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and certify them in Microsoft’s Azure Open AI. Read More
