A pan-Indian drug trafficking ring with connections to Poland, the Netherlands, and the US is busted by NCB when 15,000 blots of LSD are found—this is the largest-ever LSD bust. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency wallets were used to make payments. It is simple to smuggle LSD, which is growing in popularity among young people in India.
On Tuesday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said it had seized 15,000 LSD blots, the agency’s largest-ever raid. A pan-Indian drug trafficking network, with connections to Poland, the Netherlands, and the US, was allegedly taking place, according to the central agency.
Gyaneshwar Singh, the NCB’s deputy director general, said that commercial organizations obtained LSD from foreign nations, disseminated it to young people in India using social media platforms, and accepted payments through UPI and the dark web.
“This network conducted business through the dark web. Payments were made using cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency wallets on this virtual network. The buyer and the vendor had no actual interaction, according to Gyaneshwar Singh of NCB, who was reported by Hindustan Times as stating.
The NCB official indicated that the official retail dosage for LSD is 0.1 grams, which is about similar to 5–6 blots, in a talk with the new media ANI. While NCB has confiscated 15,000 blots, or almost 2,500 times the amount used commercially.

Gyaneshwar Singh said that LSD is gradually gaining popularity among Indian youth is a troubling indicator. Additionally, he disclosed that 2-4 spots could be created on a postage stamp-sized piece of paper, which could then be concealed within any publication or piece of paper to evade detection by government agents.
About LSD blot
Each piece is referred to as an LSD blot. One blot is swallowed by drug users. One commercial amount comprises around 4-5 blots and is trafficked. LSD blots are simpler to transport due to their size. It may be carried or concealed in a book, Singh continued.
The greatest LSD seizure prior to the present operation was 5,000 blots, which was carried out by the Karnataka Authorities in 2021.
