The first of its type from India, the metaverse called Bharatmeta was revealed at the VivaTech event in Paris by the India-based AI and developing technology solutions company Kiya.ai.

According to Kiya.ai, a business located in India that specializes in artificial intelligence and new technological solutions, India is positioned to become a significant player in the technology of the metaverse landscape. The first of its kind to come from India, Bharatmeta was launched by Kiya.ai at the renowned VivaTech conference in Paris in 2023. During the ‘VivaTech’ event, which is known as Europe’s largest yearly innovation and startup gathering, the demonstration was held at the India Pavilion.

With 12 locations throughout the world, Kiya.ai provides services to over 550 businesses in 56 nations, encompassing South-East Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.

While current worldwide platforms mostly concentrate on gaming and virtual goods, Rajesh Mirjankar, the Managing Director and CEO of Kiya.ai, highlighted in a conversation with ANI that his company’s concentration is on enabling the commerce of both physical and virtual items.

Real businesses may adopt metaverse technology and make use of its potential thanks to this innovative strategy. A multi-dimensional online environment known as the metaverse uses augmented reality and virtual reality to give people online access to realistic experiences.

Mirjankar also emphasized that Bharatmeta provides real-world examples of banking, business, culture, and teamwork within the metaverse. Bharatmeta intends to close the gap between the physical and digital worlds by leveraging India’s strong digital infrastructure, which includes digital payments, open commerce, and identification systems.

In the past, Kiya.ai commemorated the “Azadi Kaa Amrit Mahotsav” by putting up “Har Ghar Tiranga” on the Bharatmeta virtual property. Visitors may watch as the Indian flag was raised on a virtual landmark through this virtual experience.

“These digital public goods, when amplified by global economies, will offer fresh opportunities for Indian start-ups,” he proposed.

Mirjankar expressed optimism regarding the visionary “India stack” of India, which consists of digital public utilities that encourage access to markets and the emergence of business strategies for startups and their clients, which can reduce the cost of bringing innovations to market.

Bharatmeta is intended to be comprehensive and accessible, serving users across a variety of devices including XR headsets, PCs, mobile handsets, and kiosks, as stressed by Mirjankar. With this strategy, the metaverse is accessible to both urban and rural inhabitants.
