Topaz, an AI-first core with the potential for over 12,000 use cases, is Infosys’s artificial intelligence service that was initially unveiled in May. Topaz blends data analytics with generative AI. Salil Parekh, the CEO and MD of Infosys, claims that Topaz is now a physical representation of the business’s supremacy in AI.
Topaz uses intelligent tools, platforms, and autonomous software engineering for business agility to increase efficiency across the enterprise.
Salil Parekh stated that AI assistants are prepared and accessible for usage by company personnel for a variety of purposes, including software development, HR, finance, and other company operations. Additionally, he mentioned that the corporation has taught 40,000 employees to use generative AI and that in a few quarters, “the entire company will be trained.”
Parekh also discussed how generative AI will alter the workplace, stating that “things will change” if everyone starts utilising the “generative AI platform.” He also mentioned that the business has chosen to employ an open-source generative AI platform for software development, and by feeding data into the platform, massive language models are being produced.
According to the CEO of Infosys, advances in productivity and employment prospects would help the business target a sizable addressable market and spur growth.
With one of its current clients, Infosys recently announced the signing of a significant AI agreement. The business then announced that it had signed an agreement to supply $2 billion worth of development, modernization, and maintenance services for automation and artificial intelligence (AI) over the course of the following five years.
