In a statement, Renault Nissan Automotive Pvt. Ltd. (RNAIPL) stated that 2.5 million vehicles have been produced at its cutting-edge Chennai facility. The alliance facility has produced approximately 1.92 lakh (192,000) Renault and Nissan vehicles annually over the previous 13 years. This translates to the production of one automobile every three minutes.
According to the firm, the facility has produced 20 different automobile models for both Nissan and Renault.

Renault-Nissan’s Chennai facility is located in Oragadam, Chennai. From Chennai’s Kamarajar Port Ltd. (formerly Ennore Port Ltd.), RNAIPL has shipped more than 1.15 million automobiles to more than 108 countries. The Middle Eastern nations, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand, Australia, South-East Asia, SAARC nations, and Sub-Saharan Africa
“The 2.5 million cars manufactured milestone is a testament to RNAIPL’s manufacturing excellence and the exceptional products we create for customers in India and overseas markets,” said Keerthi Prakash, Managing Director of RNAIPL.

As stated in the Alliance investment plan, RNAIPL is preparing to produce six new vehicles, three for Nissan and three for Renault. We are convinced that these Indian-engineered and produced automobiles will live up to and beyond the expectations of our consumers.
The Renault-Nissan Alliance said earlier this year that it will invest $600 million, or 5,300 crores, in India to expand manufacturing and R&D efforts, offer new products, and develop technology.
The creation of six new cars, including two totally electric vehicles made at RNAIPL, is one of the Alliance’s future priorities. These initiatives will increase plant utilization overall and safeguard tens of thousands of jobs for years to come.
