An official statement from the business has revealed that Head of Microsoft India, Anant Maheshwari The former head of Microsoft India, Maheshwari, resigns from his post after serving in the role for over seven years. Maheshwari’s resignation coincides with a recent reorganization of top executives at the global software company. He has been replaced as Managing Director for India by Irina Ghosh, the Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft India.
Maheshwari was thanked by a Microsoft representative for his major contributions to the organization’s operations and culture in India. Additionally, they wished him well as he pursued a position outside of Microsoft.
Navtej Bal has been named the new Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft India as part of the leadership restructuring. Additionally, Venkat Krishnan will take over as the organization’s Executive Director.
Achievements of The Former Head of Microsoft India
Maheshwari held the position of President at Honeywell India before joining Microsoft. He also worked as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company. He has a Master of Science from BITS Pilani and an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science. He has also completed coursework at Ahmedabad’s esteemed Indian Institute of Management.
In similar news, there have been rumors that Google may hire Srinivasa Reddy, a top technical executive at Microsoft, later this year. Reddy had previously overseen government relations at the local division of Swedish telecom equipment manufacturer Ericsson AB. He had also held prominent roles in Apple’s Indian regulatory team.
Reddy is anticipated to support the business in negotiating regulatory hurdles if the shift to Google happens, especially in light of the antitrust accusations the company is facing in India surrounding claims of exploiting its dominant position in mobile operating systems.
