According to a formal announcement, the G20 nations will officially introduce the Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy Industry Coalition (RECEIC) today. 

The announcement will be made on the margins of the ministerial discussions and the fourth meeting of the environment and climate sustainability working group in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

What Is The Resource Efficiency And Circular Economy Industry Coalition (RECEIC)?

The RECEIC is an industry-led project with a global focus on improving resource efficiency and circular economy practices.

It was developed under India’s G20 Presidency. The alliance is planned to continue operating independently after India’s G20 presidency, enabling a long-lasting environmental effect.

All About Resource Efficiency And Circular Economy Industry Coalition (RECEIC)

The group has “39 founding members from 11 different nations.” The RECEIC is intended to be a forum for the exchange of best practices and information, promoting sustainable business practices among its member industries. Its guiding concepts center on collaboration in technology, financial support for scalability, and partnership for effect.

The EU Environment Commissioner as well as ministers from Canada, France, Italy, Denmark, Mauritius, and the UAE will be present for the inauguration event, which will be performed by India’s Minister for Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav.
