leased by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday. This year, the 50-over men’s cricket world cup will begin on Thursday, October 5, in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The opening game will feature England vs. New Zealand, two of the nations competing for the 2019 World Cup.

India will face five-time ODI Cricket World Cup champions Australia in Chennai on Friday, October 8. The eagerly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is set for Sunday, October 15, in Ahmedabad.

In their most recent World Cup match, India triumphed resoundingly in Manchester after a high-scoring contest.

Seven prior encounters between India and Pakistan took place in 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2011, 2015, and 2019. At Old Trafford during the ODI Cricket World Cup, India scored a staggering 336/5. However, in a match plagued by rain that India won by 89 runs, excellent bowling helped restrict Pakistan to just 212/6.

How many teams have participated in 2023 ICC ODI Cricket World Cup

The showcase tournament will feature a total of 10 teams, the first eight of whom have previously qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League. The Qualifier competition in Zimbabwe, which ends on July 9, will determine the remaining two slots.

On November 15, the first semi-final will take place in Mumbai, and the subsequent semi-final will follow that day in Kolkata.

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the 2023 Cricket World Cup Final on November 19, with November 20 set aside as a backup date. The Narendra Modi Stadium can accommodate 132,000 people.
